Recycled wool footed longies!

Just a couple of longies I recently finished for an order – I need to make some for my own LO! They would be perfect for the nice cool weather we’re having down here Florida!

Fleece longies for my own daughter!

I actually made my own child something! Amazing! I pretty much had to as I was short on pants to go to Michigan. The embroidery was a little off on the one leg, but I think they’re still pretty cute.  I stayed up all night the evening before I left to visit Michigan – didn’t sleep at all – wanting to get these things done in time to fly out!  I made these to match the shirt I found in a store.

Sweet little bolero!

Recently finished this bolero I’ve been struggling with for a little while. The weight of the yarn didn’t match the pattern, so I had to pretty much re-write the pattern to suit the yarn – following the lines of the pattern shown.  It’s a cute little thing, crocheted using a soft wool dyed in natural dyes.

Back on board! Woohoo!

Whew, back on board and getting some things accomplished! Brieanne, as you know, you are pretty much DONE! I’m working on the next two gals as I type….well not as I type, but tonight! I hope to get the rest wrapped up this week. Thanks so much for your patience. It is much appreciated!

My trip north was a great one visiting my grandmother. The poor gal had a shocker though, as we introduced her to her last (from me anyway) great grandchild.  We hadn’t told her about the pregnancy, and then birth, because she was very incoherent and “out of it” for over a year. She had fallen twice, and hit her head causing a closed head injury. There was a time, actually, that they did not believe she would make it. I’m glad she did, so that I could see her again (I was very pregnant when she was seriously ill) and so that she could meet my youngest.  It was a wonderful, super packed week of visiting!  The fall foliage was so beautiful, I wanted to scoop up the leaves and bring them back to Florida! I miss fall and all the smells, it was so nice!

Quick reminder!

Just wanted to send a quick reminder that I am out of town at the moment. For those who I contacted prior to leaving – I won’t be able to do any work until I return home, as stated in my note to you individually.  I will be dedicating a ton of my time to getting your items completed when I return. I apologize for the inconvenience this trip imposes on your order, but is is a necessary trip to visit my elderly grandmother.

On a different note! This weather in Michigan is beautiful and I miss the fall season! I’m sure residents here would love the Florida weather at the moment, but let me tell you that it gets old!! 9 months or MORE of humidity and high heat drags you down after a while, so this cooler weather is a wonderful reprieve!!

Embroidery file added to photo album!

I added a few of my embroidery options to a file in my photo album (listed under Embroidery Options over in the links on the right)  – when I return from my visit up north I will continue to add photos as time permits. I have quite a number of them!!

Going out of town

I just wanted to make my customs aware, as well as those who may be interested in purchasing, that I am taking a necessary trip out of state to visit my eldery grandmother who lives in Canada. She has been ill and at 94 I need to see her now verus later – it’s been nearly 2 years since the last visit with her before we moved south! I will be gone from October 15-21st and will not be able to do any work during that time frame. If you are on my custom’s list I will do my best to get as much done before I leave – for those who make purchases through the HC’s I am a member of, I will ship your item as soon as I return home. Thank you for your understanding!

My Eden Soaker Crochet Pattern is going live!!

I’ve decided to go ahead and sell the pattern at an intermediate level, as I have not included row stitch counts as of yet. I had planned on having a spreadsheet created for special customization, but due to how my pattern is started, this is not possible. Sooooo I must go back and add in the row counts!!!

Purchase of the Fuzzy Britches Eden Soaker pattern is available on all three of the congos I am a member of and listed here, just look for my vendor cart Fuzzy Britches:

www.hyenacart.com/BuddhaBellies

www.hyenacart.com/Bellatesori

www.hyenacart.com/TheMerchantShip

Buyers have the choice of a .pdf file emailed to them, or they can have a paper pattern mailed to their physical address for an additional charge.  I hope to see lots and lots of Fuzzy Britches Eden Soakers on as many cloth diapered bums as possible!!

The pattern is for personal use only and finished items from this pattern are not to be sold commercially.  Cottage licensing available for sale after permission is granted.

About half way done with a dragon applique!

Needle felted of course! I still need to add his tummy and the detail felting using wool yarn to match —- then of course there’s his flames, cannot forget the flames!!  Here’s a pic of him half way done and what he’ll resemble when he is done!  These are on a wonderfully soft recycled wool longies for a sweet little guy of a gal on one of my sewing boards.

How about some fall themed longies and an adorable fitted diaper??

Then you need to check out this collaboration at Bella Tesori between myself (Fuzzy Britches) and Sam of Tweedlebee and Tweedlebum! I created a pair of recycled wool longies with a fall foliage tree needle felted onto the longies – these longies have a great weight to them and would be fantastic for night time diapering! Sam created an adorable fall squirrel flannel Fattycake fitted with a full hidden layer of bamboo fleece and three layer soaker of cotton fleece, and the inner touching babies tender skin is oh so comfy bamboo velour. If you know anything about Fattycake diapers, you know they are an incredibly well fitting diaper! Between these two items, you’ll have a beautiful set to show off your little one!!
