Some recently created woolies!

First up are some things I made for some collabs that will be featured at Bella Tesori shortly (link to the right!!) – large recycled wool footed longies and medium smallish wool crepe (oops!) JERSEY :

Crochet YYMH woolies for a Diva:

these are just before I was done – so no waist strings yet in the pics – the stitch I used for the shorties took up a lot more yarn than I anticipated so had to use more of the trim color than originally expected. ūüėõ

Next up are some action shots of Eden in her wool trimsie cover bound with foe, I love this cover! FOE and I are just slowly becoming friends. I had to go over some areas as my original stitch down didn’t work as I had hoped so you’ll see some spots of thread on the black.

My Eden Soaker Crochet Pattern is going live!!

I’ve decided to go ahead and sell the pattern at an intermediate level, as I have not included row stitch counts as of yet. I had planned on having a spreadsheet created for special customization, but due to how my pattern is started, this is not possible. Sooooo I must go back and add in the row counts!!!¬†

Purchase of the Fuzzy Britches Eden Soaker pattern is available on all three of the congos I am a member of and listed here, just look for my vendor cart Fuzzy Britches:

www.hyenacart.com/BuddhaBellies

www.hyenacart.com/Bellatesori

www.hyenacart.com/TheMerchantShip

Buyers have the choice of a .pdf file emailed to them, or they can have a paper pattern mailed to their physical address for an additional charge.  I hope to see lots and lots of Fuzzy Britches Eden Soakers on as many cloth diapered bums as possible!!

The pattern is for personal use only and finished items from this pattern are not to be sold commercially.  Cottage licensing available for sale after permission is granted.

Anyone for another needle felted wool soaker??

Just got these done about 20 minutes ago and I LOVE THEM! Ok, so that’s probably a little more self-appreciative than I need to be, but I really wish Eden could wear these. They are very soft and so stretchy! Plus I love the butterfly on the bum! what was supposed to be a flower turned into a really cute butterfly!

Just zinging along!

I’m just zinging along lately! I got the last soaker done for my trade, and cut out and sewed up three longies….wait, four longies, tonight. One is a custom, the other’s I am hoping to get stocked at Buddha Bellies this Thursday at 6pm.¬† Anyway, this is Brother Bear for the LO that will be wearing them. Mama seems to be happy, I just hope he enjoys them too!¬† Needle felted applique on recycled wool soaker.

Playing around with wool again

Well, I’m ALWAYS playing around with some kind of wool, lol, but this is a tad different as I’ve not tried this before. I’ve been meaning to, just never got around to it. This actually took a while, as I’d work on it for a while, put it down for a while, pick it back up again, etc etc etc.¬† This is made from an angora/lambswool sweater and is sooo buttery soft! It is trimmed out in pink DK weight wool. I could have possibly made the foundation stiches closer, but it’s my first whirl at this kind so I don’t think it’s that awful!

Which will it be? new or old?

I figured I’d update this posting to say I think I’m going to wait on finishing this pattern. I do like the second better, it fit better than the first, but I only have one LO to try things out on now so the first one remains unused at the moment (my older LO wouldn’t wear it much so I couldn’t test the fit too often).¬† This one seems to be very labor intensive in figuring out, with writing the pattern as I go, that I need a break from it. I keep saying I’ll get it done, but I just can’t right now. (Ever get mad at a pattern??? that’s the stage I’m at).

That’s the dilemna I am facing now. I want to get this crochet wrap pattern worked out, but I’m stumped over whether or not I like the original pattern…..or if I like the second pattern I made.¬† I still need to work out the different sizing, but I can’t do that until I decide on the general shape!¬† What do YOU think? I’d love comments on which one is more desirable. (overlook the ends poking out of the 2nd wrap, I got impatient & snapped pics before I was all done!!)

Needle felting is fun!

as always i have to put in a disclaimer–bak = baby at keyboard–so that means typing 1 handed, lower case letters and typos!!

i’ve recently gotten into needle felting more than just playing around with it.¬† needle felting gives me a lot more flexibility because i don’t have to be parked in front of a sewing machine.¬† my machine time is very limited with Eden wanting her mama to hold her alot.¬† you’d think that with her crawling and furniture walking, she’d want to be on the move more, but nope she looooves her mama!¬† Anywho, as I was saying, needle felting gives me more freedom to create and I’ve really enjoyed it so far.¬† My son Asher has been helping me in tracing current appliques and then cutting them out for me, and creating new appliques for me as well.¬† I figured it might not be a bad idea to tap into his creativity and use it to my benefit, lol!¬† He enjoys knowing that I’m using his designs or something he helped with, as do the other children when they help.¬† Here’s a few needle felted woolies I’ve created recently.¬† My fav so far is the dino (Ash drew him)
